Overview
The Times Square commercial project utilised LCP Lycordeck® high tensile galvanised steel decking as part of its main structure. Lycordeck® is a composite decking system made from cold-formed galvanised steel with a Z275 coating, providing strong protection against corrosion. It comes in several thicknesses and features a 300mm closed rib profile, which helps improve span strength while reducing the need for fasteners.
For this project, Lycordeck provided reliable support for floor slabs, reducing the need for extra reinforcement and speeding up the installation process. It also supports suspended ceilings, improves fire safety, and ensures the building meets international design standards.
